This collection consists mainly of Towne’s correspondence, articles, and speeches. Also included in the collection are documents and correspondence concerning the estate of Annie L. Towne, his mother, and the papers of his wife, Katherine Doyle Towne.

The East Lansing Kiwanis Club records consist of general correspondence (1957-1971), weekly news bulletins (1955-1987), financial records (1956-1964; 1967-1970), and materials relating to the club's 20th Anniversary (1970) and to the projects listed above.
